Ton Matton

is an urban planner and artist. After studying urban planning at the Technical University in Delft (NL), the Dutch-born has been involved with his projects at the Royal Institute of British Architects in London, the architecture gallery Aedes in Berlin and the GEM in The Hague (NL), among others. Ton Matton maintains a large area between Hamburg and Berlin in a small village structure with guest studios, a workshop, some animals and plants. A former GDR elementary school in Wendorf near Schwerin is the base of this Matton Office and the Wendorf Academy. He was a visiting professor for performative urbanism at the TU Munich and since 2014 he is professor for raum&designstrategien at the Kunstuniversität Linz.
