Alexander Wetzig
is an urban planner with long experience in responsible positions in state and municipal administration. Among other functions, he was a consultant for urban planning and urban development promotion in the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior and head of the city planning office of the city of Ulm. In Ulm, he later headed the Department of Urban Development, Construction and Environment as vice mayor for 24 years. Since 2015, he has worked as a freelance consultant for urban planning and project development and on municipal design advisory boards. He is a member of the German Academy for Urban and Regional Planning (DASL) and an extraordinary member of the Association of German Architects BDA.
Alexander Wetzig is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation Hochschule für Gestaltung HfG Ulm.
